Silver Falls State Park

Last Sunday and Monday another mom friend and I took our kids on a little adventure. First stop, the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival. It was quite hectic with four kiddos in tow, and we didn't get to do much yarn shopping, but we did get to wander, see the animals, and eat kettle corn!
Afterwards, we headed to Silver Falls State Park. We had a cabin rented, made a fire, roasted marshmallows, and hiked around a bit. None of us got much sleep, but it was a fun adventure nonetheless.
The weather was perfect and the trees were just starting to change colors. The kids (happily) got to skip school on Monday and learn from nature instead.

  1. Wow, that waterfall, amazing!!! Sounds like a great reason to skip school :) We are going to our first fiber festival in a few weeks, can't wait! Have a wonderful weekend.
