Yarn Along

Happy Yarn Along! Joining with Ginny of Small Things today....

Well, I finally finished Phoebe's poncho. I am happy with it, although, seeing it on her, I think I should have weaved the ends in much father, as they sometimes peak out. Oh well. Live and learn. Sadly, Phoebe is not much of a fan yet. I think the no-arm thing is weird for her. But, I have been calling it her "poncho moncho", which she thinks is hilarious, and I am hoping she will grow to love it. I have been knitting it forever... she had better give it some love. The poncho pictures are only OK... hoping to get some better ones soon!!

Currently I am working on Phoebe's Halloween costume. I have several new projects on the to-start list, but somehow I don't have the correct needles for any of them! I need a trip to the craft store tomorrow, I think!

I am still reading Sometimes A Great Notion by Ken Kesey. I will be reading it forever, I am pretty sure. hehe.

What are you reading? What are you knitting?

  2. Very cute poncho. And the model? She is beyond adorable! I have the same problems with my ends peeking out lately. There must be a better way to do it.

  3. I agree, the model is really VERY cute.
That poncho is basically why I wanted to knit. Unfortunately, knitting and I did not get along well enough. : (

    1. Courtney- you are right! Although her kind of knitting class would be teaching how to pull mama's needles out of her project!!

  7. What a lovely poncho. It reminds me so much of a multi-coloured poncho I knitted for my daughter, which we then lost on almost our first outing in it to the swimming pool. So look after it, as it is so cute.
