Finn's Birthday Countdown

Finn will be turning 4 in a little less than a month! He has requested a pirate party (and he wants it outside, which is a little crazy for a November birthday in Portland) and preparations are officially underway! In order to give him a sense of how long until his birthday, I made him a birthday countdown. It's a buried treasure; each day he will remove a grain of sand and be one day closer to his special day! Pin It Now!

  1. fun count down- we've got four more days until the links on our chain are done and the grandparents arrive.

  2. Very cute! We always used paper link chains to count down to events when I was growing up, but this is different and adorable!

  3. Oh, you are good! Owen's birthday is on Thanksgiving this year. We'll be having dinner at my in-laws that day, and I kind of like handing over the reins to her - with four kids, I get kind of pooped out with parties!

  4. Birthday countdown is a great idea. My four year old turns five in March, but since she asks everyday I think I might need to do this. Arg, pirate party and I can't wait to see the pics.

  5. What a great way to enjoy the countdown! I think the anticipation is half the fun!

  6. Four! How time flies. We always used paper chains or lengths of toilet paper for countdowns when I was growing up. Love your treasure chest, though!
