Finn's Birthday Countdown
Finn will be turning 4 in a little less than a month! He has requested a pirate party (and he wants it outside, which is a little crazy for a November birthday in Portland) and preparations are officially underway! In order to give him a sense of how long until his birthday, I made him a birthday countdown. It's a buried treasure; each day he will remove a grain of sand and be one day closer to his special day!

fun count down- we've got four more days until the links on our chain are done and the grandparents arrive.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! We always used paper link chains to count down to events when I was growing up, but this is different and adorable!
ReplyDeleteOh, you are good! Owen's birthday is on Thanksgiving this year. We'll be having dinner at my in-laws that day, and I kind of like handing over the reins to her - with four kids, I get kind of pooped out with parties!
ReplyDeleteBirthday countdown is a great idea. My four year old turns five in March, but since she asks everyday I think I might need to do this. Arg, pirate party and I can't wait to see the pics.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to enjoy the countdown! I think the anticipation is half the fun!
ReplyDeleteFour! How time flies. We always used paper chains or lengths of toilet paper for countdowns when I was growing up. Love your treasure chest, though!
