Yarn Along

Getting a bit of a late start for today's Yarn Along.

With all of the driving that we did around Texas last week, I got quite a bit of knitting done. I finished Phoebe's 70's colorway plain vest and another in purple that is a gift for a newly arrived little girl. And I just love the buttons that I found for both of them... especially the purple one (or as Phoebe says, the poo-poo one). And, after I finished both vests, I decided to start another plain vest for Phoebe in purple.... as I only had purple yarn and the plain vest pattern with me in Texas. And what 3 year old can't use another vest?

I have been working my way through Game of Thrones, and I also just picked up The Scorch Trials (the sequel to The Maze Runner) at the library yesterday. I do love my tween reads!

What are you reading?  What are you knitting?

  2. Love both vests! That's a lot of knitting and Texas is a big state so I guess it's in proportion. Love the brightly colored one :)

  4. Such cute vests! You are so talented. Sounds like you are like me...reading more than one book at a time. Enjoy what's left of the week.

  5. When my kids were that little I just couldn't get to that stage of knitting. By the time I could knit a shawl, they wore it...but no hands or cute pinafore things that I also slaved over. Makes me a little sad. I should have learned to knit before they were born....
Know what? Those buttons are the best ever! xo
