Weekending

This weekend was:

Finally feeling recuperated after our trip to Chicago and adjusting back to life in Portland.
Finn trying out his bike without training wheels for the first time and succeeding! I am so proud!
An afternoon swimming at the pool.
A lunch date out for Mexican food.
A night along with wine, a movie and some knitting.
Moving Phoebe's crib into Finn's room. (Finn is so excited to have a roommate and Todd is so excited that he no longer has to maneuver past the crib and hurdle the end of the bed in order to go to sleep).
The return of a very missed good friend.
Some cleaning, organizing, and purging.
Relaxing on the back porch, enjoying the moments of summer.

How was your weekend?

  1. It's nice to get away, but nicer to come home, isn't it? I love the picture of your son riding his bike. That is such a thrill to watch your child ride a bike without training wheels for the first time. I have great memories of that. Sounds like you had a good weekend -- got some stuff done and relaxed. Hope your week is good!

  4. I love that they're going to share a room! Trinity and Gabe are sharing one now, even though we have a third bedroom and could separate them in theory. However, I figure that once Simon gets older, we'll have a boys' room and a girl room. So no real rush.

Congratulations to Finn for moving up to a two-wheeler! I remember when I made that transition. I was so proud. I'm sure he is, too.
