DIY Spa: Flower Petal Sugar Scrub

I found and adapted this easy recipe for a homemade face and body scrub that uses fresh herbs from my garden... so now I can have some spa time at home!

Here's what you need:
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • fresh lavender and calendula petals
  • 6 drops lavender essential oil
Combine together.
Rub over face and/or body and rinse!

I have no idea how long this concoction will keep.... I am guessing it will stay good for several months?  I'll have to keep you posted (if it doesn't all get used right up!). Pin It Now!

  1. Is this just to pamper, or is it packed full of healing properties? I think Lissy could benefit from a good exfoliation once a week or so. I've heard that sometimes, for the good salve and such to work, one must first exfoliate the dead stuff off. I assumed a home made scrub would be highly salt based. ???

  2. How is it holding up so far? I am going to be making a basil/mint sugar scrub... hoping that holds up ok too!

  3. You gotta love that sweet and sensual body scrub mix. I'm guessing that the shelf life of that one would probably last as long as some sugar preserves. Anyway, I'm sure my lady friends would love to try that one out. Thanks for sharing! :)
