Weekend of Gardening

This weekend Portland had wonderful weather, and at our house, we spent most of the weekend outside prepping and planting our garden.

We went to the farmer's market and bought our tomato and pepper starts

Planted our corn for our 3 sisters and planted potatoes in our road strip

We built a tee pee for Finn that will (hopefully) have beans trellising around it

Awhile back, we salvaged an old bathroom cabinet and repaired it to use as a storage area for duck food and other outdoor items. Yesterday I finally got it painted.

And this morning, we had our biggest slug-hunt in our family history. We must have collected well over 100 of the little buggers. Needless to say, our ducks were very excited.

  1. Looks like you are going to have some great crops this year! We were gardening this weekend too, though mostly it was decorative or moving herbs around. Being outside is bliss!
